Installing File Toolkit for 4D®
First read this text file, then copy the File Toolkit for 4D® file into the Mac4DX folder of your 4D database application.
Important Note : File Toolkit for 4D® can only be used with the following versions (or above) : 4D® 3.2 (international), 4D® 5.2 (French), 4D Server® 1.2.
Software License
You may buy the File Toolkit for 4D® once and use it in an unlimited number of complete database applications.
No site license or royalties are required : Once a licensee, you may distribute the File Toolkit for 4D® as an integral part of any commercial application written by yourself, provided the application containing the File Toolkit for 4D® is distributed as a complete executable, compiled 4D application and that you have purchased one copy of the File Toolkit for 4D®.
Companies with more than one developer using the File Toolkit for 4D® must buy one license per developer.
File Toolkit for 4D® cannot, under any circumstances, be resold as a stand-alone product, or part of another 4D external package, or part of another development aid, library or tool, or non compiled commercial 4D application.
DIG grants everybody the right to copy and distribute unregistered, demonstration versions of the File Toolkit for 4D®, provided that the distribution is free and includes all the materials stored in the original distribution archive. Distribution in any way of any number of serial registration codes is strictly prohibited.
Copyright
The File Toolkit for 4D® and accompanying materials is owned by DIG SARL, or its duly appointed representatives and is protected by France's copyright laws, and international treaty provisions.
Unauthorized distributing of the program or accompanying materials, or failure to comply with any of the conditions of the licence agreement will result in immediate termination of the licence agreement, and will make transgressors liable to legal action.
File Toolkit for 4D® is a trademark of DIG SARL.
4th Dimension and 4D Server are registered trademarks of ACI SA.
Limited Warranty and Disclaimer
DIG warrants that the File Toolkit for 4D® will perform substantially in accordance with its accompanying manual for a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the serial number following registration.
DIG disclaims all other warranties either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the software and accompanying materials.
In no event shall DIG or its duly appointed representatives be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation damages for loss of business or other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or inability to use this product, even if DIG has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The licensee acknowledges that the license fee reflects this allocation of risks.
Miscellaneous provisions
This license agreement is governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising out of this agreement will fall within the competence of the court attached to DIG's registered office in Bordeaux, France.
By extracting the File Toolkit for 4D® from its distribution archive, and including calls to this external package in your code, you acknowledge to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the above license agreement, which is also part of the distribution archive.
